Buffalo interior painting from a Wright County neighbor

If you're looking for interior painting in Buffalo, Steve Greene Painting is a Wright County painter based in Rockford, just east on Highway 55. We specialize in the work that shows when it's done wrong: cabinets sprayed to a smooth enamel finish, trim cut clean, and water-stained ceilings repaired so the stain doesn't bleed back through. Every job starts with an in-person estimate from Steve, and our Google reviews are 5 stars across the board.

Buffalo is the Wright County seat, set between Buffalo Lake and Lake Pulaski where Highways 25 and 55 meet. The housing runs from older homes near downtown and the lakes to neighborhoods built over the last few decades on the edges of town. Highway 25 is the western edge of our service area, so Buffalo is a town we serve without stretching the schedule.

Interior Work for Buffalo Homes

01

Cabinet Enamel

Oak cabinets deglossed, primed and spray enameled, with the doors finished off the boxes so the coat levels without runs.

Trim Enamel

Baseboards, casings and stair parts in a hard enamel that wipes clean, cut in straight against the wall.

03

Wall and Ceiling Painting

Full interior repaints with patching and sanding first, and ceilings repainted in one continuous coat so there are no flashing spots.

04

Water-Damaged Ceiling Restoration

Ice dam and leak stains sealed, drywall repaired, texture matched and the full ceiling repainted.

05

Popcorn Texture Removal

Popcorn ceilings in older Buffalo homes tested where needed, removed, smoothed and readied for paint.

06

Stain and Varnish Work

Stained woodwork and railings cleaned, sanded and re-coated when the wood is worth keeping natural.

How It Works

From Estimate to Final Walk-Through

No handoffs and no surprise scope changes. Here's how a Buffalo job runs.

  1. 01

    Free In-Person Estimate

Steve looks at the actual surfaces in your Buffalo home, points out anything that will affect the finish, and gives you a clear scope before you commit.

  2. 02

    Prep, Then Paint

Patching, sanding, cleaning and priming come first. Floors and furniture get covered, and anything not being painted gets masked.

  3. 03

    Walk-Through and Cleanup

We clean up, then walk the finished work with you in good light. If something isn't right, it gets fixed before we leave.

Close Enough to Come Back

Being nearby matters after the job too. If a door rubs after it's rehung, or you spot a missed area once the furniture is back, we're a short drive away and we'll come fix it. Steve checks the finished work in raking light before calling a job done, which catches most of that ahead of time, but we'd rather be close enough to make it right.

Steve + Team did a phenomenal job painting all 4400 sq ft interior painting while we were on vacation for a week, even finishing the job early! They fixed drywall errors (of which I was oblivious prior to him pointing out the flaws in the initial quote), touched up the enamel/molding, and did a beautiful job beyond our expectations even cleaning up so well after themselves. We were beyond impressed and would absolutely hire them again and recommend others do the same!

On my main level, Steve painted my oak kitchen cabinets, fixed my ceiling and then resprayed the entire ceiling. I added on to the project and had the downstairs painted. Steve and his team did a great job. I was impressed with the responsiveness and attention to detail. I couldn’t be happier with the results and would definitely recommend!

Our wooden window sills/frames needed some repair, and we hired Steve and his team to re-stain and varnish all the window frames in our house. I can't believe the difference. Many of them were faded and some looked like the wood was starting to rot. After Steve and his team were here, they look completely different. They did a great job, and I would definitely hire them again. Steve is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain his process.

We hired Steve to white enamel our main level cabinets, molding and stairwell which initially were oak. The finished product was beautiful and he did such an exceptional job that we additionally had him paint our ceiling and walls. Steve is extremely knowledgeable, reliable and easy to work with. He is committed to providing high quality services at reasonable costs. We will definitely be using him again for future projects!

Frequently asked questions

Do you serve Buffalo, MN?
Yes. Buffalo is just west of our Rockford base on Highway 55. Highway 25 is the western edge of our service area, so Buffalo, Montrose and Monticello are in, and towns farther west generally aren't.
Do you remove popcorn ceilings in Buffalo homes?
Yes. The texture is wetted, scraped and contained, then the ceiling is repaired and smoothed so it's ready for paint. Homes built before the 1980s should have the texture tested for asbestos before removal starts. Our popcorn texture removal page has the details.
How do you keep a cabinet finish from chipping?
Chipping almost always comes from poor adhesion, not the paint. We clean off kitchen grease, degloss, sand, and prime with a bonding primer before spraying the enamel, and we give the finish proper cure time before doors go back on. That prep is the difference between a finish that lasts and one that chips at the edges.
Do you take smaller jobs, like one room or just the trim?
Yes. Trim enamel is a standalone service, and plenty of projects start with a single room. Steve will tell you honestly whether it makes sense to combine work so you don't pay for a second round of setup.
How do I get a price for my Buffalo project?
Call (763) 228-5544 or send the estimate form. Steve will come out, look at the surfaces, and give you a clear scope before anything is scheduled.
