Interior Painting Maple Grove Homeowners Rely On

Painting Maple Grove homes is work I take seriously, and the finish shows it. Steve Greene Painting is a specialty interior painting operation based out of Rockford, MN, and Maple Grove is a natural fit for what we do: newer construction with kitchens that deserve better than roll-and-brush cabinet work, ceilings that have taken water damage over time, and trim details that a rush crew will miss. We hold a 5-star rating across our Google reviews, and if you call, you'll get a straight conversation about what the job actually needs. Request your free estimate today.

Maple Grove sits about 25 miles east of our Rockford base, and we work through the city regularly. Whether you're in the Arbor Lakes area, near Fish Lake, or further into the newer developments off County Road 101, we're familiar with the housing stock. Most of Maple Grove's homes date from the 1990s through the 2000s, which means original builder-grade trim, cabinet painting surfaces that have never been properly refinished, and the occasional popcorn or textured ceiling that's overdue for removal. We know what we're walking into before we get there.

What We Do in Maple Grove Maple Grove

Specialty interior work, not a general roll-and-go operation.

01

Trim Enamel

Maple Grove's builder-grade trim is fine to work with. The problem is that most painters don't cut it cleanly. Our trim enamel work includes careful masking, proper prep, and crisp lines at every corner and casing.

02

Popcorn Texture Removal

Some Maple Grove homes still have original popcorn ceilings. We remove it, skim or sand the substrate smooth, and paint to a clean finish. The process takes longer than painting over it, which is exactly why most painters won't quote it properly.

03

Wood Finishing

Window frames, interior trim, and stair components that need stain or varnish rather than paint. We've done full window re-staining projects where the wood looked like it was rotting. It wasn't. It just needed proper prep and the right finish. See our woodwork stain service for details.

Steve + Team did a phenomenal job painting all 4400 sq ft interior painting while we were on vacation for a week, even finishing the job early! They fixed drywall errors (of which I was oblivious prior to him pointing out the flaws in the initial quote), touched up the enamel/molding, and did a beautiful job beyond our expectations even cleaning up so well after themselves. We were beyond impressed and would absolutely hire them again and recommend others do the same!

On my main level, Steve painted my oak kitchen cabinets, fixed my ceiling and then resprayed the entire ceiling. I added on to the project and had the downstairs painted. Steve and his team did a great job. I was impressed with the responsiveness and attention to detail. I couldn’t be happier with the results and would definitely recommend!

Our wooden window sills/frames needed some repair, and we hired Steve and his team to re-stain and varnish all the window frames in our house. I can't believe the difference. Many of them were faded and some looked like the wood was starting to rot. After Steve and his team were here, they look completely different. They did a great job, and I would definitely hire them again. Steve is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain his process.

We hired Steve to white enamel our main level cabinets, molding and stairwell which initially were oak. The finished product was beautiful and he did such an exceptional job that we additionally had him paint our ceiling and walls. Steve is extremely knowledgeable, reliable and easy to work with. He is committed to providing high quality services at reasonable costs. We will definitely be using him again for future projects!

Common Questions from Maple Grove Homeowners

Do you spray cabinet finishes or brush them in Maple Grove homes?
We spray them. Brushing cabinet enamel is faster to set up but leaves brush marks and uneven coverage, especially on raised-panel doors. In Maple Grove kitchens, where most of the cabinetry is oak or older varnished wood, spraying gives you a factory-level finish that holds up to daily use. We prep the surfaces thoroughly first, which is where most of the work actually is.
Can you handle water-damaged ceilings in Maple Grove before painting?
Yes, and honestly, this is work most painters won't properly quote. We assess the damage, address the substrate if it's compromised, prime with a stain-blocking product, and respray the full ceiling so the repair blends. Painting over a water stain without that process just pushes the problem forward six months. We see a fair amount of this in Maple Grove homes, especially in older builds where the original roof or upstairs plumbing has had issues.
How far in advance do I need to book painting work in the Maple Grove area?
It varies by season. Spring and early summer fill up faster than fall. I'd say contact us two to three weeks out if you have a firm date in mind, but we can sometimes move faster for smaller jobs. Call or fill out the estimate request and we'll give you a straight answer on timing. We're about 25 miles from Maple Grove so scheduling isn't complicated on our end.
Will you fix drywall issues before painting in Maple Grove?
We do drywall repair as part of the prep process. When we quote a job in Maple Grove, we walk the surfaces and flag anything that needs patching, skim coating, or sanding before paint goes on. Paul Shipley mentioned we caught drywall errors he didn't even know were there. That's how it should work. We won't paint over a problem and let you figure it out later.
Do you do popcorn ceiling removal in Maple Grove?
We do. Some Maple Grove homes from the late 1980s through the early 1990s still have original textured ceilings. We remove the texture, address the substrate, and paint the ceiling clean. The process takes longer than texturing over it or just painting on top of the popcorn, but the result is actually finished. We can handle the full sequence from removal through final coat in one scope.
